It was once the case, not all that long ago, that those who pointed out the extreme similarities between the Obama and Bush administrations in these areas were accused of being hysterical, impetuous purists.  It's now the case that those who do so are guilty of nothing more than stating the obvious.
Sometimes it hurts being right. As the Chocolate Messiah's blatant blow jobs to the ones who consider human rights to be a fallacy instigated by "liberal activist judges" continue to pile up, I can only shake my head in disgust.

His human rights record is just as atrocious as Bush's was.

Gitmo closing? Hey, we are now four months over the deadline he gave himself when taking office. Anybody even still discussing it, outside of maybe Taibbi and Greenwald? No.

FISA repealed? No. Expanded, even.

The Patriot Act? Eh, who cares, right?

Because the Democrats want to worship their god now, and the truth is not allowed in, just as it wasn't allowed into the Bush White

House. Proper criminal trials for terrorists? Nada. The Chocolate Messiah yanked the AG's chain, and out they went.

Not to mention that awesome double down strategy of his in Afghanistan. Which so far has only led to pissing more people off over there and having them return ... and this is something you actually have to wrap your head around... return to the Taliban's iron fist.

So what has he accomplished? Man, a lot of bullshitting. Selling the Republican-invented (and more than once proposed) individual mandate as his big, crowning achievement that primarily benefits the insurance industry. Selling out to Sarah Palin's "Drill, Baby, Drill"...

... or as we now know, more likely "Spill, Baby, Spill" that benefits only the oil industry.

What he has done differently from Bush? He puts a much more friendly face on it. Skippy McDumbass, for all of his faults, had one thing not down, never down. He couldn't lie very well. It's not that he didn't lie. He lied a lot. WMDs anybody? But he just wasn't very good at it.

But the Chocolate Messiah is a brilliant liar. One of the best I've ever seen, and I've seen many. He has proven one thing, and one thing only.

That corruption is colour-blind.
