THE JOURNALIST OF THE DAY AWARD GOES TO ISABEL MCDONALD

I think that this Montreal-based freelance reporter and writer deserves not only an honorable mention on the honour's roll of the "Good Guys" in reporting, joining Glenn Grenwald, Jeremy Scahill, Matt Taibbi and Michael Hastings, she deserves her own "Journalist of the Day" award for collecting, checking and then publishing a scathing list of facts that tell us here at the Huffington Post that – despite all the words heard by every politican on the planet – literally no help pledged has reached Haiti.

The scathing number? 1.9 percent!

But there sure have been lots of dollars filling certain companies' coffers. Because that, ladies and gentlemen, is how the "free markets" want it. For more on that, listen to George Carlin a post or two back one more time.

Give Ms. McDonald a hand. Applaud her.

Spread her story.

Spread the truth.
